Last night, Brian and I went out for sushi. He's not a big fan, but neither was I when I first moved here. It's good to start with rolls. They're less intimidating than big hunks of raw fish.
Where did you guys go? Once he moves up to nigiri, I recommend Okina Sushi, which is a small, unassuming place on Arguello at McAllister, not too far from you.
I love my adopted city of San Francisco. I've lived here since 1998. When I'm not working, I love going out to hear live music, staying home to read a book (or three!) running, making dinner for friends and yoga. Guilty pleasures: America's Next Top Model, a ballpark hotdog with sauerkraut and drinking wine in my pajamas.
