This book by Australian Markus Zusak has ascended to my Top Five Ever list.
While it was not universally loved in my book group, it certainly was roundly respected. Highly recommended.

So bummed I missed the discussion! Of course, I LOVED this book too! Brillant idea to have Death narrate. Could have been so cheesy, but the writer handled it just right. -- Lisa
I love my adopted city of San Francisco. I've lived here since 1998. When I'm not working, I love going out to hear live music, staying home to read a book (or three!) running, making dinner for friends and yoga. Guilty pleasures: America's Next Top Model, a ballpark hotdog with sauerkraut and drinking wine in my pajamas.
