The Biggest Loser

I think I'm officially done watching this show. Knowing how hard it is to lose a relatively small amount of weight, I used to think it would serve as great inspiration for folks who need to lose a lot of weight.


But as the numbers go up and up, I now think it does more harm than good. It is NOT realistic to expect to lose 10 pounds in one week. Add in the controversies about diuretics, dehydration and regaining the weight - I think it's bad news.

I still like this show, but I only see one episode now and then. What I like is that they work at it SO hard. And, you get to see where they start and where they get to regardless if they win or not. I find it amazing. When you way 300 or 400 lbs, losing 10 lbs in a wk when you start out doesn't seem as incredible as later on when it becomes much harder to lose each lb....my 39 cents.
