A Very Good Read

I don't know about you, but I get a bit panicky if I don't have a book to read with me at all times. Last weekend, my bookshelves were bare (figuratively, not literally.) So, I swung by my local coffee shop where I often drop off books I've already read and I grabbed the first novel I saw.

Turns out it's a really good book. "Restless" by William Boyd is a historical thriller, loosely based on the history of a covert branch of British intelligence created to coax America into the Second World War. I can't believe the wonderful female characters (mother and daughter) were created by a man. Highly recommended.

I've never read him, but his "The New Confessions" has been highly recommended to me.
