It's Holi, a big spring holiday in South Asia. Although technically a Hindu celebration, things get pretty mixed up in S. Asia and you have people of all religions celebrating each other's special days. One of the lovely things about the culture, when they're not fighting about religion, which unfortunately also happens. Here's some information from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holi
