Back in the day, my grandparents owned a tavern on the south side of Milwaukee. My parents and I went there last night to see what it looked like 25 years after they sold it.
Huh! I always thought it was Polka. Interesting! It's great that you went and checked it out. I think I was only there once. They must have sold it shortly after I came along.
So how was it? Did it stay the same? Looks kind of like a tacqueria from the outside?
ReplyDeletewhat does 'poca tap' mean - is that polish or just plain milwaukeese?
ReplyDeleteBen, yes it did look like a tacqueria. It's just a very Mexican bar in a very Mexican neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteJean, good question! Poca = Pete, Olga, Cele and Al. C was my grandma, A was my grandpa and Pete and Olga were their sister and brother-in-law.
